DEFENSE REWARDED
UWM’s Revsbeck gets Horizon honor
INDIANAPOLIS- Freshman Connor Revsbeck of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been named the Horizon League Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week .
The Panthers won their only game on the schedule last week, shutting out Wisconsin, 1-0, to post their first victory over the Badgers since the 2005 season. Revsbeck played a key role and made his first collegiate start a memorable one, tallying five saves in the victory.
In the process, he became the first freshman goalkeeper to record a shutout in his first collegiate UWM start since Eric Mickschl did so in 2003 (a five-save outing in a 1-0 win over New Mexico Aug. 31, 2003). The award was shared with Detroit's Nathan Steinwascher and is a career-first.
