UW-Milwaukee top see in women's tournament

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will play host to the 2012 Horizon league Women's Soccer Championship Nov. 8-10 at Engelmann Stadium.

The top-seeded Panthers (6-1-0) will have a bye into the semifinals and take on the lowest-remaining seed to advance out of Tuesday's quarterfinal matches. Wright State (5-1-1) is the No. 2 seed and also received a bye and the Raiders will take on the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's matches.

Milwaukee's semifinal match will be at 7 p.m. Friday, while WSU will play its semifinal match at 4 p.m. The championship game is schedule for 1 p.m. Sunday.

Tuesday's quarterfinal matches include sixth-seeded Youngstown State (2-5-0) at No. 3 Oakland (4-3-0). No. 4 Detroit (4-3-0) will host No. 5 Valparaiso (2-3-2)

Milwaukee is the five-time defending tournament champions, defeating Wright State 1-0 in double overtime last season at Engelmann Stadium.
