Katie Hultin joins Illini as GK coach

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Katie Hultin has joined the University of Illinois staff as an assistant coach. Hultin joins the Illini soccer staff as the goalkeeper coach following a five-year stint with the Seattle University women's soccer team.

Flaws, DiBernardo honored by NSCAA

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - A pair of Illini were named to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Great Lakes Region Teams announced Tuesday. Forward Jannelle Flaws earned a spot on the First Team, while midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo was picked to the Second Team, marking the senior's fourth All-Region honor.

Illinois falls to Boston College in NCAA 3rd round

LINCOLN, Neb. -- In its fourth Sweet Sixteen appearance, Illinois saw its NCAA Tournament run come to an end, falling 4-1 to Boston College in the Round of 16. The Illini had chances on Sunday with a 24-13 advantage in shots, but BC goalkeeper Alex Johnson made nine saves to thwart the Orange and Blue attack. Sophomore Amy Feher turned in UI's lone goal with a header near the end of the first half.
