BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Hoosiers women's team announced eight players have signed letters of intent, joining Bethany Kopel, who graduated early and is currently enrolled. The signees include Hanna Nemeth, who has earned one cap with Hungary's national team.

The Indiana Hoosiers had no trouble attacking in the 2016 season. The team created plenty of scoring opportunities. Finishing, on the other hand, was another story. Sunday proved to be no different, as Indiana (12-2-7) fell 2-1 to Virginia Tech in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

IU drops 2-1 decision to Virginia Tech

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Virginia Tech stunned Indiana Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers found themselves down 1-0 in the first half, then netted a 77th-minute goal, sending the game into overtime. But The Hokies sunk the ball into the net in the 98th minute, upsetting Indiana 2-1.
