Northwestern in tougher position with new look Big Ten
The Northwestern Wildcats men’s soccer team began the preseason undefeated with a 2-0-1 record. They outscored opponents 5-1 and posted two shutouts. But preseason is just that - preseason. Friday Northwestern will have the opportunity to start from square one when they host Quinnipiac at 7:00 p.m. in the Sheraton Chicago-Northbrook Classic.

Loyola men top Northwestern 1-0 with golden goal

CHICAGO – One goal from Loyola was enough to top the No. 20 ranked Northwestern men’s soccer team Wednesday night. After a scoreless 90 minutes, in which the Wildcats outshot the Ramblers 7-3, it took less than nine minutes in overtime for Loyola to earn the win. One shot, one shot on goal, one goal led to a 1-0 Rambler win.

NU women earn 2-0 win vs. MSU

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women’s soccer is in a groove. The women earned a 2-0 win over Michigan State Sunday to improve to 7-7-4 on the season. Northwestern is now 3-1-2 in their last six matches.

NU draws MSU 1-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. – No. 25 Northwestern battled No. 10 Michigan State for 110 minutes, fighting back and earning a 1-1 draw.

EVANSTON, Ill. – Just when it looked like Northwestern’s women’s soccer team would notch a win, Michigan struck. A goal with under less than a minute remaining forced the 1-1 decision.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – After a scoreless first half, the No. 19 Northwestern Wildcats came together for an offensive push in the second half. 45 minutes later, the Wildcats earned a 2-0 win over Rutgers.

NU women earn 0-0 draw vs. Terrapins

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Northwestern goalkeeper Lauren Clem recorded seven saves Friday night, keeping the Wildcats net clean in a 0-0 draw vs. Maryland. The shutout marked the fifth of the season for NU.
