MLS TUESDAY
A look at the upcoming game

Portland Timbers (2-5-2, 8 pts)@ Houston Dynamo (3-3-2, 11 pts), 7:30 pm CT (ROOT, FSH+)
The well-rested Portland Timbers will attempt to become the first visiting team to take a point at the Houston Dynamo’s new BBVA Compass Stadium on Tuesday night. The Timbers are winless on the road (0-3-1), have won only one of their last eight matches, sit last in the MLS West, and have not played since a scoreless draw with Columbus on May 5. Darlington Nagbe and Designated Player Kris Boyd share the team scoring lead with three goals each. The Dynamo celebrated their homecoming after seven straight road matches with a 1-0 win over DC United last Saturday. Brad Davis christened the Dynamo’s new stadium with a spectacular 30-yard goal to wrap up a 1-0 win over DC United, Houston’s first win and first defensive shutout in six games. The quick turnaround from the weekend will probably send Houston coach Dominic Kinnear to his bench against the struggling Timbers.
