HOUSTON—Goalkeeper Troy Perkins made seven saves to help the Portland Timbers hold the Houston Dynamo to a scoreless draw Tuesday night in front of 22,039 at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Perkins provided one of the game’s few highlights in the 87th minute, charging off his line to thwart Calen Carr’s one-on-one breakaway.

The Dynamo outshot Portland 18-9 overall, including a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. The draw gave the Timbers (2-5-3, 9 pts) their first road point since March 17, and keeps the Dynamo (3-3-3, 12 pts) undefeated through two games in their new home.
