COLORADO RAPIDS 2, VANCOUVER WHITECAPS 2
VANCOUVER, BC - Jamie Smith scored in the 86th minute to lift the Colorado Rapids to a 2-2 tie with the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place Stadium on Sunday.

Omar Cummings scored his sixth goal of the season to give the Rapids a 34th minute lead, slotting home a rebound after Martin Rivero's shot bounced off the post.

The Whitecaps scored two goals in four minutes. Vancouver’s equalizer came in the 64 minutes when Alain Rochat redirected a ball from Gershon Koffie past Matt Pickens for his second goal of the season.

Vancouver took the lead in the 68th minute when Kenny Miller's right-footed finish beat Pickens for his second goal of the season.

The result ends Whitecaps FC’s five-match losing streak and takes them two points clear of sixth-place FC Dallas in the race for the final MLS Cup Playoff berth in the Western Conference with a 10-12-8 record. Colorado is 9-18-3.

PHILADELPHIA UNION 3, HOUSTON DYNAMO 1
CHESTER, Pa.--- Freddy Adu scored two goals and Josue Martinez got another as the Philadelphia Union snapped an eight game winless streak with a 3-1 win over the Houston Dynamo at PPL Park on Sunday.

Adu opened the scoring in the 28th minute, slipping a ball through the legs of Kofi Sarkodie and just inside the left post.

The Dynamo tied the game up just before halftime. Sarkodie played the ball into the area from the left. Will Bruin controlled it and laid it off to Boniek Garcia in the penalty area. Garcia ripped a shot that bounced off the left post and into the net for his second goal of the season.

Adu picked up his second goal, this time on a penalty kick in the 50th minute. Martinez closed out the scoring in the 70th minute, poking in a volley from Amobi Okugo.

The Union snapped an eight-game winless streak and improved to 8-14-6, 30 pts, while at least for the moment keeping themselves mathematically still in the playoff race. The Dynamo fall to 12-8-10, 46 pts.

DC UNITED 1, CHIVAS USA 0
WASHINGTON, DC--- Branko Boskovic scored his first goal for DC United giving them a 1-0 win over Chivas USA at R.F.K. Stadium Sunday.

The goal came in the 64th minute, as Lionard Pajoy worked his way down along the edge of the penalty area and sent the ball back into the center of the area. Boskovic bent dove to head the ball into the net past Chivas USA goalkeeper Dan Kennedy.

The loss was the fifth straight for Chivas, who are winless in their last nine. The Goats have not won since July 28, when they beat Portland, and fall to 7-14-7, 28 pts. DC meanwhile, has won three straight and improve to 15-10-5, 50 pts.
