WPS ROUNDUP
Gold Pride still the Gold Standard in WPS

FC GOLD PRIDE 4, ATLANTA BEAT 0
KENNESAW, Ga.—Christine Sinclair scored the fastest goal in WPS history, and FC Gold Pride (8-3-1) went on to thrash the Atlanta Beat 4-0 Saturday at KSU Soccer Stadium.

Sinclair netted the game-winner in the first minute of the game, off an assist from Marta, who made the score 2-0 with her league-leading seventh goal of the season at the half-hour mark.

Any hopes of an Atlanta comeback vanished in the 34th minute, when Beat defender Kia McNeill was ejected for a studs-up collision with Gold Pride netminder Nicole Barnhart. However, it took Gold Pride until the 87th minute to capitalize on the advantage, when Marta netted her second goal of the game. Barnhart collected her first career assist on the play.

Kelley O’Hara iced the win in the first minute of stoppage time.

The loss leaves Atlanta at the bottom of the league standings at 1-6-3.
