Frank Klopas, Fire Technical Director
Frank Klopas has been involved in Chicago soccer during three different decades. He played for the Chicago Sting in the North American Soccer League, the Sting in the Major Indoor Soccer League and was a member of the Chicago Fire for their inaugural season. He scored both goals in a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Mutiny in the Fire’s first game at Soldier Field, in 1998.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL - Aron Hyde has been named goalkeeper coach by the Chicago Fire. He joins Head Coach Carlos de los Cobos staff after most recently serving as University of Washington's men's assistant coach and for the Evergreen Soccer Club as the goalkeeping director.

Fire to scrimmage CD Chivas in Mexico
GUADALAJARA, Mexico- – The Chicago Fire began the second leg of its 2010 pre-season with training on Monday in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Fire will challenge 11-time Mexican Primera Division champions Chivas de Guadalajara in a closed-door exhibition match on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 12:30 PM CT as the build-up to the Fire’s 2010 MLS regular season continues.

Fire makes two cuts
BRIDGEVIEW, IL – The Chicago Fire has waived defenders Austin Washington and Daniel Woolard. Washington was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and appeared in nine games in two years with the club. Woolard was drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft. In three seasons with the Fire, Woolard appeared in 16 games, starting six of them.
