HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Missouri's Byron Alvarez fired the game-winning goal 3:14 into overtime, giving the comets an 8-6 win at the Sears Centre Arena Wednesday night and spoiling the Chicago Soul's chances at clinching a playoff spot.

Late Comets goal spoils Soul shutout

INDEPENDENCE, Mo-- Jeff Richey and the Chicago Soul were well on their way to their second shutout of the season until Brian Harris of the Missouri Comets put an end to the Soul's 13-0 run with six seconds remaining in regulation.
