Soul's Brisson, McKinney injured
CHICAGO -- Chicago Soul defender Chris Brisson and midfielder Judson McKinney are expected to miss out on MISL action indefinitely due to injuries to the knee and arm, respectively.
Both players are currently receiving care from the Soul's medical staff at Midwest Bone and Joint Institute and Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers as they prepare for the recovery process.
Brisson sustained a knee injury during a preseason practice. He will undergo surgery later this week.
McKinney suffered a broken humerus bone in his left arm after Saturday night's game against the Baltimore Blast. The 24-year-old midfielder crashed his arm into the boards in the first quarter and was assisted off of the field by stretcher. McKinney's surgery is also scheduled for later this week.
Soul midfielder Marco Sullo also suffered an injury on Saturday night after taking a hit to his shoulder in the third quarter. Sullo is expected to be out for a week, and will miss Friday's game in Baltimore and Saturday's game in Rochester.
