SOLD OUT
Capacity crowd will watch U.S.-Guatemala WCQ in KC
CHICAGO - The United States' World Cup qualifier against Guatemala at Livestrong Sporting Park on Oct. 16 in Kansas City, Kan. is a sellout.
The Americans face the Guatemalans on the final matchday of the CONCACAF semifinal round in World Cup qualifying at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2, WatchESPN and the Univision family).
The U.S. is even with Guatemala at the top of Group A with seven points and matching totals in both goal differential and goals scored. Jamaica also has seven points but sits in third place due to a lower goal differential. This scenario means that no team will be able to secure a place in the final round prior to the Oct. 16 matches.
Semifinal round action resumes Oct. 12, with the U.S. facing Antigua & Barbuda at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, while Guatemala hosts Jamaica.
Fans can attend the U.S. team's free public training session on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m. ET at Livestrong Sporting Park. Fans can register on ussoccer.com for the chance to win a meeting with U.S. national coach Juergen Klinsmann at the stadium prior to the public training session.
