SOUTH KOREA : PLAYERS TO WATCH
Forward Ahn Jung-Hwan, 30, scored only once in nine
qualifiers, but his experience and leadership to this
team have proven to be invaluable. The team's leading
scorer, Lee Dong-Gook (five goals in eight games), usually
found the back of the net when it was most needed. Midfielder
Park Ji-Sung has gotten better known with several impressive
performances since his transfer from PSV Eindhoven to
Manchester United. Veteran defender Choi Jin-Cheul is
expected to lead and organize the backline in the wake
of several international retirements.
